Let’s Hear It For War and Oppression:
An open letter to breast kneaders, hand wringers, bleaters and the
intellectually stunted.
As the situation in Iraq slips inevitably into the postmodern
Viet Nam it has become, and the dust motes of carbonised human settle,
a loss of interest in the subject is increasingly evident. The "no
war" window posters have become yellowed and spotted with fly
manure, and the topic foremost in the minds of the “antis”
shifts languidly on to the plight of Minke whales. or whatever.
No longer “hot”, the war has slipped from the headlines,
and, consequently their consciousness.
The fact is that the piggies who squeal loudest for some spurious
notion of “humanity” (a noun, not an adjective) are
the ones who, in truth, relish the military escapades of our government
and its allies the most. They love it. They need it. It gives them
the opportunity to occupy what they see as the moral high ground
and to display their righteous indignation. Their appetite is always
keen for, and will never be short of, nor sated by the “war
porn” any international conflict inevitably results in: the
child amputees, the screaming mothers… Dreadful, they sob…
And look for the next media tidbit to satisfy their vicarious hunger
for suffering.
These people quite simply do not have enough REAL pain in their
own lives, and as a result seek to derive a foul, vampiric satisfaction
from the anguish of others. Others whose pain is real. I wish them
torture. Then they would know what it is to really care about the
cessation of brutality.
“Not in my name” cry the peace piggies in their staggering
self–importance... They march and even (for crying out loud)
hold parties in protest at the war; an awful, awful orgiastic travesty
of self-congratulation. They genuinely believe themselves to be
the only right-minded, properly informed people on the planet, be
they left wingers or the liberal humanists with dyed hair and leather
jackets that pass themselves off as anarchists. Scum.
What these people must be made to understand is that war, not
peace, is the natural state of man. War is without question the
primary motivating force in history. War is as natural as the sun
on your face.
War is the mother of invention and creation. The Orientals were,
in pre Christian times the first to harness the explosive force
of chemicals in order to fire a projectile and thus crucial to the
invention of the internal combustion engine. War has taken us to
the depths of the ocean through sub-marine technology, and into
space with rocket science developed by scientists working for the
Nazis and who were exported to the U.S. post war to work for NASA.
From the Teflon you cook your greasy breakfast on, to the dialysis
machine (invented by the Danes in WW.1. in response to increased
need for blood transfusions) that will keep your cholesterol soaked
body alive, it is war, not peace that has enabled/motivated these
leaps.
Purely from the point of view of population control, war is an absolute
nescessity. Just consider what hell living in this city would be
if all the men who died in W.W.1 had lived and had children? Four
or five generations of them? Hell.
War holds the global economy in place, the arms industry being
one of the few economic constants. Measured violence and oppression
are the foundations of our “democracy”.
Thus, when considered as is, as a constant and a practicality, war
is only wrong from the point of view that it still (and always shall)
take place. The reason for this is a matter of incompletion, a result
of previous wars not being conducted with absolute and total brutality.
The last Gulf war, for instance should,(from the point of view of
the U.S) have resulted in the annihilation of Islam as a world power,
but it did not.
This is largely due to the misplaced notion that there can be
any moral “comventions” to the conduct of war. America
should represent a one world government by now, and any further
conflict should then be a a redundant notion.
History is written in blood, and without any question, consists
of an endless litany of war, conflict, ethnic cleansing and revolution.
The fruits of which, we in the west enjoy freely.
Indeed, ”we sleep soundly in our beds, safe in the knowledge
that dreadful men walk in the night and do dreadful things in our
name” (George Orwell).
There is, never has been and never will be, ”peace”,
except for the kind of peace you get in between being punched repeatedly
in the face… The kind of peace you might get in a walled community
in Beirut or L.A.
This is harmony, peace, in between exploding airliners. 9-11 gave
Americans the opportunity to be what it always wanted to be; victims.
Victim status.
Finally, war is demonstrably master and king of the absolute truth,
from the source, of the righteousness and beauty of the harm done
to the weak by the strong. There is, in my opinion, in evidence
in the human species a direct correlation between an individuals
worth and his/her capacity to react against that which oppresses.
This is the direct transference of the pure and vital force of
violent motivation, without which nothing would be accomplished.
Let us admit to ourselves two things; that nothing ever really
gets done on this Earth without somebody being prepared to kill
for it,and that a “bad thing” is only a “bad thing”
when it is happening to YOU.
