JUNKIES ON THE BBC?

I switched this programme on completely by accident and was surprised to see such an honest and unspun personal tale of drug use on the Beeb. I recognised the crescent in Kings Cross where he went for treatment and found out that I squat with someone who was living in the house at the time.

David later posted on www.shootingpeople.org asking for feedback. As a recreational drug user I was intrigued as to what Ibogaine and methadone were like - a tale that I wasn’t surprised he'd had to leave out for British sofa audiences. In the circumstances it was quite rightly a tale of coming off a drug roller coaster rather than an advert for getting on a new one.

I’ve paraphrased a couple of David's replies here

While the BBC have to frown at drug use, we don’t, and we are honoured to include David’s untold tale of the whole Ibogaine experience here
